Sit ‘Em #1

16. Week 1 Projection: Standard: 0/PPR: 0. D/ST. Buffalo Bills. Bills D/ST. 3. player

The Buffalo Bills have one of, if not the most talented defensive rosters in the NFL and they just hired arguably the best defensive minded head coach in the league, Rex Ryan away from the division rival New York Jets, so this squad should have one heck of a year.

Now, with all that being said, I WOULD NOT play them this week.

  • The talented Bills go up against one of the toughest offenses in the NFL in the Indianapolis Colts and superstar in the making Andrew Luck. And even though the Bills are an extremely talented bunch, I believe that Luck will have his way with them for the most part.

The Colts offense is loaded from top to bottom with the additions of Frank Gore and Andre Johnson to an already stacked offense.

Luck has legitimately seven or eight viable options to throw the ball to, and I don’t think there is a defense in the NFL (other than the Seattle) that will be able to consistently slow him down.

For most of the season, the Bills should be a top-5 or better fantasy defense, but for Week 1 against the Colts, I would leave them on your bench if at all possible.
