Houston Texans. Chris Polk. 8. player. 10. . Running Back

Chris Polk wouldn’t have made this list a few weeks ago, but with the news that Arian Foster needs surgery, his fantasy stock went up quite a bit. Alfred Blue is expected to be the starting running back in Foster’s absence, but every starter needs a backup, and that’s where Polk comes in.

  • Polk spent three seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles and only had seven touchdowns over the span of those three seasons. Of course, he was behind LeSean McCoy on the depth chart, so the workload was never really there.

Foster will miss a good chunk of the 2015 season, which means Blue will be the starter in Houston until Foster comes back. If you end up drafting Blue, it might not be a bad move to take Polk in the later rounds due to the unknown with Blue. He started three games last season and managed two touchdowns.

Once Arian Foster returns to the Texans, Polk’s value will likely go out the window, but he may be worth your while until that moment.
