FANTASY FOOTBALL ROOKIES FOR 2015: NUMBER ONE – MARCUS MARIOTA

I’ll come right out and say it; I think Marcus Mariota is a better quarterback than Jameis Winston. That’s obvious because I have him ranked higher.

Really though, Mariota got the slight edge because of Winston’s history of off-field problems. Mariota will be a consistent starter each week, and up to this point, there is no uncertainty as to whether or not he can handle himself off the field.

Either way, both of these quarterbacks are going to be fun to watch this year, and you could make the case it’s a dead draw as far as who is better. The Titans, like the Bucs, haven’t had a great quarterback in a while, and think they have one in Mariota.

The receiving corps in Tennessee is slightly better than in Tampa Bay, which gives Mariota more opportunity for success. If you draft both Mariota and Green-Beckham, you could have a QB-WR tandem that could rack up lots of points on a weekly basis.

Would I draft Mariota in the first round? Hey, why not.
