FANTASY FOOTBALL SLEEPERS IN 2015 NUMBER 11: VIRGIL GREEN

Virgil Green is one of my sleepers because he is on one of the most pass happy teams in the NFL with one of the best quarterbacks of all-time, Peyton Manning at the helm.

Last year, Green backed up standout tight end Julius Thomas who left during the offseason for the Jacksonville Jaguars and the big contract he got.

This leaves Green as the starter in Denver, and hopefully that means he can at least put up comparable numbers to what Thomas did last year. I doubt he is as talented as Thomas is, but that doesn’t mean he won’t catch a few TDs this season.

He is also a very versitile player in the Broncos offense and lines up all over the field. I’ve seen him line up at tight end, slot receiver, and even halfback last season.

I see Manning and his new offensive coordinator getting him the ball a lot this season, and he should be worth the mid-to-late round selection.

Don’t hesitate to open the fantasy season with him as your starting tight end. It could pay off just like Julius Thomas did in the past.
