FANTASY FOOTBALL SLEEPERS IN 2015 NUMBER 12: LeGARRETTE BLOUNT
Blount is the likely workhorse for the New England Patriots this season. They lost Shane Vareen via free agency to the Giants and didn’t have much competition for his carries other than Jonas Gray. Gray had one of the best fantasy performances of the season last year, but don’t look for him getting in Blount’s way.
This year, especially with the imminent suspension of Tom Brady, I think Bill Bellichick and company will rely heavily on the running game this year. Blount should see anywhere from 12-20 carries per game in my opinion.
Being a member of the Patriots and Tom Brady’s offense also means that there are going to be a lot of points of the board for their offense, and I see Blount getting plenty of opportunities to score touchdowns this year.
Especially at the goal-line.
I like Blount this year as a sleeper low-end #2 RB or high end flex/#3 RB option heading into this season with a chance to really prove his worth in the NFL and fantasy football.
