First home game of the year? Check. First primetime game of the year? Check. First game against a division rival? Check, check, and check. All of those reasons and many more are why this game is going to be a fun one.
As I mentioned above, this is the first (and only) home primetime game for the KC Chiefs in 2015 and it’s also the home opener for our beloved Chiefs. In other words, Arrowhead Stadium is going to be INSANE.
The Chiefs desperately need to win this match-up because they’ll need to take at least one of two from Denver if they want to win the AFC West for the first time since 2010.
The Denver Broncos have had the Kansas City Chiefs’ number since Peyton Manning arrived to the division in 2012, but this could be the year that changes. With Manning “declining” (I use that word loosely because come on… He’s still Peyton Manning), the Chiefs’ defense will hopefully be able to plow through a below average Bronco offensive line and get some pressure on the long time veteran.

This is going to be the best game to attend in 2015 because of the time of year, the atmosphere, and who the Chiefs are playing. It’ll be in the second week of the season so the weather should still be pretty nice, Arrowhead Stadium is going to be rocking, and… This might make me unpopular… it’d be cool to see Peyton Manning play in person (I never have).
If the KC Chiefs pull out a victory in week two against their hated division foes, we might be able to say the tides are turning in the AFC West.
