Fantasy Football Quarterbacks: Top 15 To Target In 2015

Cam Newton is a very talented NFL quarterback. He has the size at 6-foot-5 and around 245 pounds, the speed, and the arm to take him as far as he’s willing to work to get.
This all being said, he’s not the best fantasy quarterback option in my opinion. Even though he made my top-15 quarterbacks, I am very wary of drafting him because of a few reasons.
First, he takes a lot of hits; And hits turn into injuries; and injuries turn into his fantasy owners having to look to the waiver wire for a new QB.
Second, he doesn’t have very many guys to throw to. Other than second year stud wide out Kelvin Benjamin and tight end Greg Olsen, he really doesn’t have a reliable option to throw to.
Now let’s get back to the positive about drafting Newton. He does gain plenty of rushing yards for a quarterback, which is a big positive, and he’s also not afraid to run in between tackles at the goal-line to get some rushing touchdowns.
In my mind, Cam is a top-15 fantasy quarterback, but he does have plenty of red flags (who doesn’t though right?). I would consider him a low-end starting QB with the potential to have some big games when the matchup is right.
Draft him in the later rounds.
