Sam Bradford has been one of the most injury-plagued players in the NFL since he was drafted number one overall back in the 2010 NFL Draft.

He has had virtually no fantasy impact in his career because he has yet to play a complete season without getting injured other than his rookie season back in 2010 where he became just the third rookie quarterback in NFL history to start all 16 games and throw for over 3,000 yards. The other two were Peyton Manning and Matt Ryan (info. via sports-reference.com).

Don’t draft him to be your starter with all of his injury concerns, but be ready for a possible breakout season from him and don’t be afraid to take him in the mid-to-late rounds of your draft.

So obviously Bradford has the talent, but has not been able to stay of the field long enough recently to ever be much considered heading into fantasy drafts.

Now a new chapter in Bradford’s career is about to start. He was finally traded from the Rams to the Eagles and to Chip Kelly. In Philly, Bradford will have to run Kelly’s quick run-and-gun style offense, and I think that it will help out his career tremendously.

I see Sam finally starting to live up to his #1 overall selection back in 2010 this season, and could even become a low-end starting fantasy QB during the season.
