Carlos Hyde is a second-year back out of THE Ohio State University, who last year backed up long-time 49ers star running back Frank Gore, who coincidentally has a similar running style to Hyde.

A lot of good running backs have been coming out of the draft over the last three drafts or so, and Hyde might be able to be one of the best names on that list.

This is important because Hyde was lucky enough to be able to work with Gore on his game every day during last season. The 49ers obviously believe that he is ready to shoulder the running game load without Gore who was let go in the offseason.

Gore signed with the Indianapolis Colts and opened the door for Hyde to take the NFL by storm. I strongly believe that Hyde is ready and will succeed running behind one of the top 5 offensive lines in the NFL as early as this year.

Consider him a solid number two running back, with the opportunity to be as good as a low end starting running back on your team.
