Alfred Morris had a great rookie season a few years ago, but has had mediocre seasons since. Most of this is due to the decline of his team and quarterback Robert Griffin III.

Robert Griffin III has been pretty bad and even lost his starting gig since suffering multiple injuries to multiple parts of his body over his first two seasons. It has hampered the growth of the Redskins offense, which includes Alfred Morris and the running game.

The bottom line for Alfred Morris is that if RG3 can get their offense going this season, he should be a big part in it and should have a solid season.

Morris could be a very solid number two fantasy back this year and has plenty of upside that owners could fall in love with. I just wouldn’t reach for him after two consecutive seasons where he had some issues.

Also, Morris is not a very good receiving back, which makes him almost a two-down back depending on the situation, and really hurts his overall fantasy value. Especially in PPR leagues.

Just don’t reach too high for him because of what he’s done in years past.
