Matt Forte is getting up there in age as far as NFL running backs are concerned, but he still looks like healthy and talented as ever as one of the best backs in the league.

In my opinion, the departure of Marshall, will be good for Forte’s fantasy owners because of a number of targets that Marshall always got in Chicago.

The Chicago Bears lost their star wide receiver Brandon Marshall to the Jets via trade and are now left with a gaping hole in the passing game.

For most running backs, this wouldn’t be a big deal, as most backs are not always great pass-catchers (i.e. Marshawn Lynch, Alfred Morris, Eddie Lacy, etc.), but Forte very well might be one of the best pass-catching running backs in the league.

In my opinion, the departure of Marshall will be good for Forte’s fantasy owners because of the amount of targets that Marshall always got in Chicago.

This makes Forte even more valuable this season for fantasy owners, and he should be seen as a top-end number one running back who should be drafted in the middle of the first round in most leagues.
