FANTASY FOOTBALL TIGHT ENDS NUMBER 8: JORDAN CAMERON
We’re walking on eggshells, but everything looks OK for Jordan Cameron going into the season.
After four years on the Browns, he’s finally going to get a chance to work with a solid quarterback in Ryan Tannehill. Tannerhill threw for 27 touchdowns in 2014 and is only getting better. Beyond the new team though, the concerns about Cameron lie within the three concussions he’s had in his short career, and the fact that 2013 is the only season he had at least 25 receptions.
He’s your classic high-risk/high-reward guy.
However, 2013 was a thing of beauty for Cameron. He put up 900+ yards, had 80 receptions, and scored seven touchdowns, which was second on the Browns only to Josh Gordon. Oh, and all of this was with a brutal combination of quarterbacks (Campbell, Weeden, and Hoyer – pick your poison).
He’s your classic high-risk/high-reward guy; if you draft him, make sure you have a second reliable tight end on call in case something happens, because if history is any indication, there’s a good chance you’ll need a backup.
