FANTASY FOOTBALL TIGHT ENDS NUMBER 11: DELANIE WALKER
Delanie Walker has had some bad Tennessee quarterbacks over the years, and the unknown rookie talent of Marcus Mariota is about to be added to the mixed bag he’s experienced. The former Central Missouri Mule is headed into his third season with the Titans and proven to be one of the more dominant tight ends in the NFL.
If you’re weary about a rookie quarterback affecting his touchdown receptions, go a different route.
With Kendall Wright and Nate Washington as the main wide receivers on the Titans last year, Walker actually managed to lead the team in both yardage and receptions. He ended up with close to 900 yards from the three-headed mess that were the Titans’ quarterbacks of Mettenberger-Whitehurst-Locker.
Basically, if you have trust in Mariota, draft Walker and feel confident that plenty of balls are still coming his way in 2015. If you’re weary about a rookie quarterback affecting his touchdown receptions, go a different route. That will probably be one of the main reasons why Delanie Walker is on the board in the later rounds, but he could end up being one of your best players should Mariota pan out.
