FANTASY FOOTBALL TIGHT ENDS NUMBER 13: JASON WHITTEN
Even those who aren’t fans of the Dallas Cowboys will admit that Jason Witten is one of the best tight ends in the game. That won’t change in 2015 and Witten will be one of the most sought after guys at his position due to his productivity and reliability on the field.
Going back to 2004, Witten has at least 700 yards each year and hasn’t missed a game (he has started all but one). He got close to breaking that streak last year with just 703 yards, and he’s 33 now, so don’t think those numbers are going to jump back up to prime form anytime soon.
He’ll be right back out there in 2015 with Tony Romo at the helm, and you should know exactly what you’re getting. There are better options out there for single tight end leagues, but if you want something safe and stable for a backup or second tight end, Witten will still get the job done.
Witten, despite being a solid tight end, will still likely be available in the middle rounds. That is a prime time to draft him and plan to use him as your number two tight end.
