FANTASY FOOTBALL TIGHT ENDS NUMBER 14: JOSH HILL
Jimmy Graham is gone in New Orleans, and the undrafted free agent (2013) out of Idaho State can’t wait to take over full time. Even with Graham around last year, Josh Hill put up five touchdowns over the 20 times he was targeted.
Expect anywhere from five to ten touchdowns and know that he won’t be anything more than a number two tight end.
There’s little competition in New Orleans, with Hill’s backup set to be 34-year-old Ben Watson. Sit back and snag him in the later rounds; he’s worth taking a chance on, but probably shouldn’t be your Week 1 starter.
Hill will likely see plenty of pass opportunities considering he has one of the best in the league in Drew Brees throwing to him, but he’s still no Jimmy Graham. The Saints also improved their run game by adding C.J. Spiller, which could further limit Hill’s receptions.
Expect anywhere from five to ten touchdowns and know that he won’t be anything more than a number two tight end. Still, though, if he’s available in later rounds, snatch him up because he could be the steal of this year’s fantasy football draft.
