FANTASY FOOTBALL TIGHT ENDS NUMBER 3: TRAVIS KELCE
After sitting out his rookie season in 2013 with a knee injury, Travis Kelce came on strong in 2014, scoring five touchdowns and putting up the sixth most yards (862) of all tight ends. More importantly, for tight ends with 50+ receptions, his 12.9 yards per catch ranked behind only Fleener, Walker, and Gronkowski.
He had over 100 more yards than the Chiefs number one receiver in Bowe and is looking to move from shared duties to a full-time role.
Anthony Fasano, who had 25 receptions and four touchdowns as a Chiefs tight end last year, is now on the Titans, and although Jeremy Maclin will put Bowe’s weak numbers to shame, Kelce should have no trouble breaking into the top five fantasy tight ends this year.

Nine hundred yards and seven touchdowns wouldn’t be unreasonable for Kelce, who is just 25 and will only continue to improve and impress.
The only thing to be weary of in Kansas City is that Alex Smith doesn’t throw the ball long distances very often. Even with that knowledge, though, he’s still one of the best tight ends in the game right now, and is poised for an even better 2015.
Draft him in the third round if he’s still available.
