FANTASY FOOTBALL TIGHT ENDS NUMBER 5: MARTELLES BENNETT
Martellus Bennett had more receptions last year than any other tight end (90), and Brandon Marshall just hopped on a jet to New York, so we could have some fun with projections here.

Yes, the Bears drafted Kevin White seventh overall, and he’ll certainly get plenty of action opposite Alshon Jeffery, but with Bennett often lining up in slot, there’s a good chance a few of Marshall’s eight touchdowns last year can be his own.
Don’t forget – the Bears new offensive coordinator Adam Gase is coming from Denver (see exhibit ‘Thomas, Julius’), so Bennett’s ceiling gets a little higher for 2015. He hasn’t missed a game in the last three seasons and has seen his yardage increase over each year as well. Expect a big year for Bennett, who could propel his way into elite fantasy tight end territory.
The only thing about Bennett is that his quarterback’s play is incredibly inconsistent. If Cutler has a good game, a large part of it will be because of Bennett grabbing the ball in the end zone. If Cutler doesn’t have a good game, then…well, those who have had Bennett in the past might understand what I’m getting at.
If you can snag Bennett in one of the earlier rounds, then you should be good to go at the tight end position.
