Kansas City Chiefs: Five Players to Watch In 2015

Fans loved hearing De’Anthony Thomas‘ name over the PA system at Arrowhead last year every time he stood ready to receive a punt. He quickly became the team’s premier kick and punt returner, and did a pretty good job at it.
Behind Maclin, I think Thomas is the second best wide receiver this team has. I’d like to see Thomas play a larger role in the offense, and I think he can develop into a big playmaker. His success will largely depend on where the coaches would rather see him play. Will he be a full time kick returner, or a full time receiver?
Simply put, Thomas is a better version of Dexter McCluster.
He is a versatile athlete that provides flexibility where the Chiefs need it. He has the quickness and speed to be a long ball type of catcher, or he can play out of the slot and catch quick slant passes. Expect to see the Chiefs use him in lots of different ways this year.
