Sunday, October 27th, 2015 VS Pittsburgh Steelers (12:00 CST)

Man, the Pittsburgh Steelers are one of those teams that the Kansas City Chiefs have grown to hate over the years. The Steelers have had KC’s number whenever the two play and it’s been frustrating.

The games have always been close, but if you lose, who cares? It still counts as a loss. The last time the Chiefs defeated the Steelers was in 2009 and that’s when the Chiefs were not a good team.

This season will see two legitimate playoff contenders squaring off in week seven of the regular season, and this really could be anyone’s game.

Pittsburgh has Ben Roethlisberger as their quarterback and he’s certainly one of the best quarterbacks in the entire league. Roethlisberger is a a tough quarterback due to his size. He can scramble despite being as big of a guy as he is, and is hard to bring down.

It’ll be up to Kansas City’s defense to make this a more competitive game, and I’m not sure they’ll be up for the task.

Roethlisberger’s surrounding offense is pretty good too, and as a result, they ranked second in all of the NFL last season.

Le’Veon Bell is one of the best running backs in the league and is only 23 years old. Bell will be suspended for the first four games of the season due to an arrest he had with former teammate LeGarrette Blount, but I imagine he’ll be warmed up by the time he makes the trip to Arrowhead.

On paper, this seems like a match-up that favors the Steelers. They have the better quarterback and better wide receivers (yes, Antonio Brown is better than Jeremy Maclin). It’ll be up to Kansas City’s defense to make this a more competitive game, and I’m not sure they’ll be up for the task.

Prediction: I really thought this could be a game that the Chiefs could pull off, but due to their struggles against Pittsburgh in the past, I’m giving this one to the Steelers. KC loses 24-10.
