(2) 2014 KC Royals vs. (15) 1968 Missouri Football
Any decent Kansas City Royals’ fan remembers everything from the fateful season from a year ago, and even though it didn’t end in a championship it will go down as one of the most memorable in franchise history.
From a second-half surge, to Salvy’s Wild Card game winner, to falling just two runs short of a World Series championship, 2014 had a little bit of everything after KC fans waited 29 years for the postseason.
1968 wasn’t the most memorable of seasons for Missouri football team, but ended well. After a crushing 21-19 home loss to Kansas in the Border War, the Tigers bounced back with a 35-10 route of No. 12 Alabama in the Gator Bowl.
