1995 wasn’t the first bowl win for the Wildcats or Snyder’s best season, but it was significant.
It was the first 10-win season for Kansas State in 85 years, and second in three years that ended with a bowl victory.
Kevin Lockett was again an integral part of the offense, catching 13 touchdowns from quarterbacks Matt Miller and Brian Kavanagh, including one of four Kavanagh threw against Colorado State in the Holiday Bowl.
The ’82-’83 season ended in disappointment for the Tigers with a first-round loss in the NCAA Tournament.
However, that didn’t take away the fact it was the fourth straight Big 8 regular season title for Norm Stewart and Mizzou — success Tigers’ fans can only dream of today.
