Small Forward: Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk

Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk came into last season being in the top 35 recruits, according to 247 Sports. Coming out of Ukraine, Mykhailiuk was one of the youngest players in all of college basketball playing all of the season as a 17-year-old.

He was given plenty of opportunities early in the season, averaging 15.5 minutes a game during the non conference portion of the schedule. He did not perform well enough to be in the regular rotation during Big 12 Conference play.

He shot just 28.8 percent from behind the three-point arch, hitting just 15 of 52 attempts

I think a season for Mykhailiuk to learn the game and mature as a college basketball player was vital in him becoming a great player for the Kansas Jayhawks in the future – physically and mentally.

He shot just 28.8 percent from behind the three-point arch, hitting just 15 of 52 attempts, as a freshman, so maybe he will need to be more on-target going forward. In my opinion, he has a chance to be an effective outside shooter for the Jayhawks.

Brannen Greene could be a viable option at shooting guard as well. He shot 40.4 percent from beyond the arc last season. He played double digits minutes 18 of the last 19 games last season, so he may earned this spot as well.
