KC Chiefs: Five Worst Starting Quarterbacks In Team History

Blackledge made eight starts in 1985, going 5-3 and throwing 10 touchdowns and six interceptions. His final year with the Chiefs saw him only starting two games, splitting them with a 1-1 record, and throwing one touchdown to three interceptions.
It’s also worth noting that Todd Blackledge is the last quarterback the KC Chiefs have selected in the first round of the draft.
Blackledge later went on to play for the Steelers, only lasting two seasons there before calling it quits in the NFL.
So overall, during the span of four seasons with the Chiefs, Todd Blackledge posted a record of 13-11 with 4,510 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 32 interceptions. The fact that Blackledge only started 24 games during his days with the Chiefs is terrible, and it stings even worse knowing the Chiefs could have had a guy like Kelly or Marino instead.
It’s also worth noting that Todd Blackledge is the last quarterback the KC Chiefs have selected in the first round of the draft. That was 32 years ago! The Chiefs have since relied on guys from other teams to lead the charge.
I don’t think many will argue that Todd Blackledge is the worst Chiefs quarterback in franchise history.
