Making The Case For Kendrys Morales

Kendrys Morales was basically plucked off the scrap heap and asked to replace team staple and fan favorite, Billy Butler. Morales has done that and more.

He has put a brutal 2014 behind him, and he has returned to the form that made him a productive hitter for most of his career. You have heard the term “professional hitter”? Well, so far in 2015, that has been exactly what Kendrys Morales has been.

It was just what the KC Royals needed.

  • Home Runs – 4 – tied for 3rd
  • Runs Batted In – 30 – 1st
  • Runs Scored – 28 – 1st
  • Batting Average – .299 – 5th
  • Hits – 46 – 3rd
  • Doubles – 14 – 1st
  • Walks – 13 – 3rd

Kendrys Morales has been a hitting machine for the Kansas City Royals thus far. An incredible 18 if his 28 hits have been for extra bases. He leads the team in Runs and RBI, a great combo.

Maybe one of the best stats is that his .299 batting average is FIFTH on the team.
