Making The Case For Lorenzo Cain
Lorenzo Cain may not be the prototypical number three hitter, but he is earning his stripes. He has shown that 2014 wasn’t a fluke, and he may be even better this season. He is a fun player to watch, and again has produced as his manager hoped when he slotted him in the line-up in the third slot.
His numbers show why he is such an integral part of this team, not even counting his spectacular glove work.
- Runs Batted In – 19 – tied for 4th
- Runs Scored – 27 – 2nd
- Stolen Bases – 6 – 1st
- Batting Average – .316 – third
- Doubles – 8 – tied for 5th
- Hits – – 4th
Lorenzo Cain has been immensely important to the success of the Royals this season. He has really stepped up his game, and now is on the brink of stardom.
