James Jones is by far the best wide receiver available on the free agent market, and it’s not even close. He was released by the Oakland Raiders on Sunday after they signed Michael Crabtree in free agency and drafted Amari Cooper fourth overall. Oakland no longer had a need for the former San Jose star, and now he’s available for another team to snatch (Source of link: Scott Bair of CSN Bay Area).

Throw James Jones out on the field with Jeremy Maclin, Jamaal Charles, and Travis Kelce, and ooh boy. This KC Chiefs offense could be pretty freaking scary next year.

I would love to see the Kansas City Chiefs sign James Jones because he would easily be the best receiver on the team after Maclin. Last year in Oakland, Jones finished with 73 receptions for over 660 yards and six touchdowns.

Jones is 31 years old, but showed no signs of slowing down in 2014. He just needs a team that appreciates him and has a use for him, which the Chiefs certainly do.
