KC Chiefs: Free Agent Wide Receivers Still On The Market

Reggie Wayne wasn’t re signed by the Indianapolis Colts after a 14-year career there, but he’s not hanging it up yet. The former Miami Hurricane is 36 years old plans to continue playing in the NFL, even if it isn’t in Indy.
Yes, the age could be a reason to be concerned, but it’s Reggie Wayne. Wayne may not be what he was in his early NFL years, but he could probably compete for the number two receiver spot in KC despite being 36 years old.
The last two years Wayne was only able to haul in four touchdowns (keep in mind he only played in seven games in 2013 due to an injury), but before that (2012) he had five touchdowns and over 1,000 yards receiving.
While Wayne likely won’t be in the league for more than a few years, he would bring experience and a winning spirit to Kansas City.
This likely won’t happen, as I’m sure Dorsey and Reid will be uninterested due to the age, but still. If Reggie Wayne came to town on maybe a one-year deal, I don’t think fans would be upset.
