Lance Moore wouldn’t be the type of wide receiver who would start, which is why he’s ranked fourth on this list. What Moore would provide, however, is a veteran presence and the ability to start if needed.

Those of you who read my articles often know that I’m also a diehard of the New Orleans Saints, so my love for Robert Meachem and Lance Moore is a little more understandable now, isn’t it? Moore played in New Orleans for eight seasons and racked up over 4,200 yards during that span as well as 38 touchdowns. Moore’s breakout year with the Saints was in 2008 when he hauled in 10 touchdowns and over 900 yards receiving.

He’ll be 32 years old when the 2015 season gets under way, but he still has gas left in the tank. He’d be a solid third receiver option and could start if an injury occurred.

It was a blast watching Moore catch passes from Drew Brees during his time in New Orleans, but the team had to make a choice and they chose to move on from him. Moore then signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but asked to be released after just one season in the Steel City.

The reasoning behind this seemed to be that Moore didn’t like how he was being utilized in Pittsburgh, and you can’t really blame him. Todd Haley had no clue what to do with Moore and it showed last season, as the former Toledo Rocket only had two touchdowns on the entire year and under 200 yards receiving.

Now like I mentioned above, Lance Moore wouldn’t be the number two option in Kansas City. He’ll be 32 years old when the 2015 season gets under way, but he still has gas left in the tank. He’d be a solid third receiver option and could start if an injury occurred.

Moore wouldn’t be on a lot of people’s radars due to the fact that he’s not a starter, but don’t rule out adding someone for that reason. Nine years in the league doesn’t happen for average players (at least not most of the time). Moore is a great receiver and I’m sure Doug Pederson could find ways to utilize him in the KC offense.
