KC Chiefs 2015 NFL Draft Wish List: Day Three

Even with the addition of Mitch Morse in the second round (may or may not have been a reach, but I digress), the Chiefs still need help along the offensive line. Tyrus Thompson would be a solid addition to an offensive line that was absolutely dreadful last year.
Drafting Tyrus Thompson would be nice in case things simply don’t work out for Eric Fisher in Kansas City.
Fans talk about how they want Alex Smith to heave the ball down the field to his non-existent wide receivers, right? Well the best way to do that is to draft some guys for the offensive line who can protect Smith and his blindside allowing him to make those throws.
Thompson has a chance of coming into the league as a mid to late round pick and actually starting along the offensive line. The issue with this happening for KC is that Thompson is better suited for the left side of the line, and that’s where first overall pick in 2013 Eric Fisher currently calls home. I’m not necessarily on the wagon for kicking Fisher to the curb quite yet, but he needs to show vast improvements in 2015 or else it’s time to move on.
Drafting Tyrus Thompson would be nice in case things simply don’t work out for Eric Fisher in Kansas City. Here’s a kid who has the ability to start along the line, but would definitely benefit from a year or two of observing before being thrown to the wolves so to speak.
"Thompson has NFL size and flashes NFL potential, but he doesn’t play with the consistency or effort that NFL scouts want to see from him. There will be teams that drop his grade due to football character, but tackles that have traits and upside usually get drafted earlier than their draft grades call for. –NFL.com"
