KC Chiefs 2015 NFL Draft Wish List: Day Three
Kansas Jayhawks linebacker Ben Heeney (31) – Mandatory Credit: John Rieger-USA TODAY Sports
I would say without a doubt, the biggest need left for the KC Chiefs to address is at inside linebacker. I discussed Trey DePriest with my 10th wish list prospect, but Ben Heeney is who I’d most like to see the Chiefs walk away with come Saturday.
Ben Heeney would give the Chiefs stability at the inside linebacker position for many years to come, which would be nice, wouldn’t it?
One, Heeney is an inside linebacker, which the Chiefs need help at. Two, Derrick Johnson is one of the best in the business, and could mentor Heeney until he’s ready to start in the pros. Three, he’s a local guy, playing his college football just an hour or so away for the Kansas Jayhawks in Lawrence.
The Chiefs realistically could probably wait until round five for Ben Heeney, but why not take any chances? Draft him in the fourth round, and make it a sure thing.

"Undersized inside linebacker with a big motor and willingness to take chances. Lacks the athleticism to recover from mistakes in the running game and is too tight to cover in space against the pass. – NFL.com"
