It’d be completely possible for the Kansas City Chiefs to add members of all of the local schools in this year’s draft (Lockett of Kansas State, Ben Henney of Kansas), and it could end with Bud Sasser of the Missouri Tigers joining the Chiefs in 2015.

Sasser had 77 receptions for 1,003 yards and 12 touchdowns during his senior season, and it’s enough to possibly make him a seventh round selection in the draft.

Now there wouldn’t be a ton of expectations for a seventh round selection, but Albert Wilson wasn’t even drafted last year and he ended up starting a few games last year. You just never know!

Through four years at Mizzou, Sasser put up 116 receptions for 1,611 yards and 14 touchdowns. Sasser was almost a non-commodity throughout his first three years with the Tigers, only having two touchdowns during that span. With Dorial Green-Beckham dismissed from the team after 2013, Sasser was able to go out and be the number one guy for Maty Mauk.

That’s just what he did.

Sasser had 77 receptions for 1,003 yards and 12 touchdowns during his senior season, and it’s enough to possibly make him a seventh round selection in the draft.

"Bigbodied receiver who was able to cause matchup problems when allowed to play from slot. Average athlete, but plays with plus body control and has outstanding ball tracking and focus skills when ball is in the air. Doesn’t need much of a window to haul in the throws. Hands catcher with desired arm extension at catch point. Can be a handful in the red zone. – NFL.com"

The main thing to take away from that blurb? Red zone help. Alex Smith could use all the weapons he can get in the red zone.
