Round 3, Pick 16

I have drafted Tyler Lockett in every mock draft that I have done this year, and that theme is not going to stop now. The fit is just too perfect for him to not be a KC Chief. Two wide receivers in the first three rounds could be looked down on, but the Chiefs are in a very good position to win now, and adding play makers is hardly ever a mistake.

Lockett is a player that has shown a ton of potential in college, but he will take a couple years to develop and be coached up before he reaches his peak. He can still be a productive player for the Chiefs. He is best when you get him the ball in space, and excels at making people miss in space. Lucky for Lockett Andy Reid is one of the best coaches at scheming to get his play makers the ball in space.

Lockett is currently rated as the 13th best wide receiver in the draft, and the 79th best overall prospect according to CBS Sports. Grabbing Lockett with the 80th pick in the draft is a very real possibility for the KC Chiefs.

There is nothing better than drafting a player that has openly expressed his desire to play for a team.

"“I would love to play for the Kansas City Chiefs,” he said. “Andy Reid is a great coach. If the Chiefs give me an opportunity, I’ll take it and I’ll run with it.” -Courtesy of BJ Kissel ofKCChiefs.com"
