Kansas City Chiefs: Ten Free Agents To Avoid

The Kansas City Chiefs have already had a busy off-season, and things don’t look to be slowing down any time soon. With just over three days left until free agency is upon us, many fans like love to point out which skilled veteran player their respective team could use.
Personally, I have always loved this time of the off season even more so than the draft. Veteran free agents can make an immediate impact to a team and in some cases (as in the case of Joe Montana) can instantly make the team great.
Since I like to consider myself as someone who sees both sides of an argument, I decided to compile a list of ten free agents that the Kansas City Chiefs should actually avoid. These particular free agents aren’t in any order or ranking, but I feel that the Chiefs can either get better talent through free agency or the draft. Without further ado, here is my list of ten free agents that the Chiefs should avoid:
A.J. Hawk – Inside Linebacker
I was surprised to hear that Green Bay had cut A.J. Hawk. The lifetime Packer, however, hasn’t been playing very well in the past few seasons. In fact, the Packers had to move Clay Matthews from his usual outside linebacker position to inside to compensate for Hawk’s struggles. He struggled mightily against the run and given that the Chiefs’ defense finished 28th in the league against the run, I would say they don’t need him.
