2015 NFL Mock Draft: KC Chiefs Focus On Offense Early

With their final pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs will fill one last need. That need is at the inside linebacker position.
Think about it. The Chiefs just cut Joe Mays, who was only one year into his contract. That leaves Derrick Johnson at the inside linebacker position and sadly, who knows how much longer Johnson will be a Chief? Curtis Grant might be a seventh round selection, but he could come in, sit behind Johnson for a year and learn the ropes.
If Johnson gets released, traded, or whatever it may be, Grant could be ready to go if need be.
The downside with Curtis Grant is that he played less than fifty percent of the snaps with the Buckeyes over the span of two seasons, this according to Lance Zierlein of NFL.com. He may not have the right kind of experience to make it in the NFL.
He’d be a seventh round selection though and if he learned from one of the best linebackers in the game, maybe he’d pick up fast and be able to help Kansas City stop the run better in the future.
