The 2015 NFL Draft is right around the corner, and with that come the 2015 NFL Mock Drafts as well. The KC Chiefs have at least 11 picks as of now, but through Fanspeak’s On the Clock feature, I was only able to draft once in each round. Through this feature, I used Drafttek’s big board, and ended up focusing mostly on offense in this mock draft.

Obviously with 11 total picks, things will look much different, but it was tough choosing which positions to beef up since the Kansas City Chiefs have several areas that need improvement for the 2015 season. Some of these positions consist of wide receiver, offensive line, inside linebacker, cornerback, and safety.

So which position should be addressed first?

With the 18th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, I had the Kansas City Chiefs selecting offensive tackle Andrus Peat out of Stanford. My philosophy at this point is to take the best player available in one of the Chiefs’ needed positions. In this case it was Andrus Peat.

Mel Kiper Jr’s latest mock draft had Peat going ninth overall to the New York Giants, but I’m hoping he slides down to pick 18. Alex Smith was sacked 45 times in 2014 and it was due to having a terrible offensive line. Rodney Hudson was the only good member on the line, and he might be leaving in free agency (let’s hope not though).

Peat would be the type of guy who would come in and start right away, which is much needed on this offensive line.
