Kansas City Chiefs: Free Agent Wide Receivers To Look At

Now this is an unlikely scenario due to the cost it would take to get Randall Cobb to Kansas City, but hey Chiefs fans can dream, right?
Cobb will be testing the free agent market, according to Jason B. Hirshhorn of Acme Packing Company, and will draw interest from many teams.
The Chiefs could be one of those teams, but realistically cannot afford Cobb unless they cut the guys with the bigger contracts (Bowe, Tamba Hali, Chase Daniel, etc.).
Even then, with Houston and Hudson needing work done on their contracts, I just don’t see Kansas City being able to shell out the kind of cash that Randall Cobb would want.
I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if Cobb ended up heading back to Green Bay, and I would definitely prefer that than him signing with Oakland. Joe Rogers of Sporting News reported that the Raiders are expected to offer Cobb a big deal.
In other words, Cobb might be one of the most talented wide receivers on the free agent market, but he’s sadly out of the Chiefs’ price range. With him on the roster though, this offense would be a whole lot scarier. We still have this though.
