Round 4, Pick 19
The Chiefs witnessed a revolving door at the cornerback position for everyone not named Sean Smith in 2014. It would not be surprising for them to go after corner for depth and insurance behind the starters.

Eric Rowe has a big body and his 6’1″ frame transitions well to the NFL. He was also able to run a 4.45 40 at the NFL Combine which proved he has the speed to keep up with receivers.

Though Rowe is listed as a corner, the Chiefs may be wise to transition him to a strong safety to fill Eric Berry‘s role and replace Ron Parker. Parker is asking for $6 million a year to sign with the Chiefs, and it is hard to believe the Chiefs agree that he is worth that much.
The Chiefs have not had the best luck drafting cornerback’s recently. Javier Arenas and Sanders Commings are two examples of their struggles.
Rowe has value outside of the defensive backfield however which can only add to his stock, especially for a coach like Chiefs Special Teams coach Dave Toub.
