2015 NFL Mock Draft: KC Chiefs Looking For Balance

Adding another weapon to the secondary certainly isn’t a bad idea. James Sample could be another guy who could create turnovers and actually tackle as well.
"While playing well in coverage, Sample managed to have success against the run and in pressuring quarterbacks at times. He could provide some depth at safety and perhaps see playing time if Eric Berry is unavailable."
Low risk option here and I’m perfectly fine, with drafting a guy like James Sample, especially since the Chiefs need some help in the safety position. He has the opportunity to really add some nice depth for the Chief’s secondary going into the 2015 season.
Oh, and fun fact. Lance Zierlein compares Sample to former Kansas City Chiefs safety Bernard Pollard. Pollard had success here, and if the Chiefs give Sample a chance, I think he could have success in Kansas City too.
