I don’t know too much about this guy, but Bleacher Report seemed pretty high on him. Plus, the KC Chiefs need a lot of help when it comes to wide receiver.

  • "During his sophomore through senior years, McBride caught at least 55 passes for 800 yards in each season. Pulling in 10 touchdown grabs in 2012, McBride only saw the end zone nine times combined as a junior and senior. He also spent some time as a return specialist at William & Mary. – Vousoughian"

Lance Zierlein of NFL.com compares Tre McBride to Brandon LaFell of the New England Patriots. If that’s the case, the Chiefs could have a steal with this pick. Zierlein also says that McBride has good NFL size and can hold onto the ball after being hit (that’s definitely important for the Chiefs).

In my opinion, it doesn’t hurt to draft as many receivers as possible. It was one of the biggest weaknesses for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2014 and if they give Alex Smith better weapons to throw to, maybe we’ll see better results from Smith and maybe… just MAYBE we’ll see a wide receiver touchdown in 2015.
