With the 18th pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs will hopefully select Jaelen Strong out of Arizona State. Now I know I had my problems with the atrocious offensive line last season, but at the end of the day, I want to see the Chiefs draft a wide receiver in the first round.

With this year’s wide receiver class said to be almost as good as last year’s, the Chiefs can’t make that mistake again this time around. Time to draft a wide receiver in the first round and hopefully it’s Jaelen Strong out of Arizona State.

I’ve been raving about Strong for the past month and would be ecstatic if he became a Chief in May. He would be a great addition to the offense and Alex Smith would love having him to throw to.

Here is what Rob Rang had to say about Strong’s strengths (heh),

"Strong is aptly named as he is a well-built receiver whose height, body control and leaping ability make him a difficult matchup for cornerbacks. He runs hard and forces defenders to take him to the ground, fighting through arm tackles to generate good yardage after the catch. His size makes him equally effective on the perimeter (where he excels on back-shoulder fades) and when dragging across the middle."

At 6’3″ and 215 pounds, Strong would become an immediate factor in Andy Reid‘s offense and would be one of Smith’s favorite targets. He’d be a serious threat in the red zone for a team that had zero wide receiver touchdowns and that is a good thing for Kansas City Chiefs fans everywhere.
