Round 6, Pick 17
Yes, I drafted another wide receiver, and I don’t feel bad about it in the least bit.
Andre Davis played for the South Florida Bulls, and while they’re not necessarily known for their amazing football team, the kid had a decent career there. It’s worth noting that this is a sixth round draft choice and Davis wouldn’t be expected to be a starter in 2015. He’d just be another weapon to toss into games. The Chiefs need all of the wide receiver help that they can get, so I say why not?
"Stiff-hipped vertical wide receiver with an ability to make the difficult catch, but a propensity to lose focus when challenged. Davis has the talent to challenge for a back-end roster spot, but his competitive nature is being questioned by some teams. – Lance Zierlein of NFL.com"
Round 7, Pick 16
With the Kansas City Chiefs’ final pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, I chose an offensive tackle out of Kentucky by the name of Darrian Miller. The Chiefs got a decent offensive lineman in the sixth round in last year’s draft, so maybe they’d luck out with Miller in this year’s draft.
Lance Zierlein of NFL.com doesn’t see Miller as a starter, but he does see potential in the kid.
"He doesn’t have the length or athleticism to make it as an NFL tackle, so he he’ll likely have to make the switch to guard. Has smarts and hands to play guard or center, but his lower body power must improve. With coaching, Miller could be a serviceable interior backup. – Zierlein’s bottom line on Miller"
