Round 4, Pick 18
The KC Chiefs can fix all of their problems at Wide Receiver by taking Tyler Lockett in the 4th round after taking Dorial Green-Beckham in the 2nd round of the 2015 NFL Draft. That will allow the Chiefs to cut Dwayne Bowe and sign a cheap veteran Wide Receiver in free agency to compete with Albert Wilson, Green-Beckham, and Lockett.
Lockett was a star at Kansas State finishing his college career with 249 Receptions for 3,710 Yards, and 29 Touchdows. Lockett also proved to be effective in the return game, scoring four return Touchdowns.
"He is a smaller target with a limited overall catching radius and smaller hands that will lead to double catches and him fighting the ball at times. However, Lockett is very dangerous in space, using his quick, decisive feet to sell routes and speed to stretch the field and take the top off a defense. -Dane Brugler of CBS Sports"
Due to being a smaller target, Lockett would most likely be best used in the slot, and in the screen game. For Lockett to be effective the Chiefs would most likely have to use pre-snap motion to get him in a mismatch with a Linebacker. Lockett will likely struggle early in his career playing man against NFL caliber defensive backs.
