Seasons At Kansas: 4 (2006-2010)
Drafted: Undrafted in 2010 NBA Draft. Joined Charlotte Bobcats Summer League team in summer of 2010.
I’m a little biased to write a ton of good things about Mr. Collins, as he is personally my favorite Jayhawk of all-time, but I will try to remain objective and stick on topic.
Sherron was a sophomore in 2008, but really elevated his game and was a spark plug anytime he was in the game. As you will see later, he got more playing time in the National Title game than starting guard Russell Robinson because he was playing so well alongside Mario Chalmers.

In the Championship game, Collins shot 4-10 and had 11 total points, but more importantly and memorably, he was the guy who set up Mario for the “Mario’s Miracle” shot that ultimately sprung Kansas to win the game.
Chalmers made the shot, but the play doesn’t happen without Sherron getting him the ball in that spot on the floor.
Professionally, Sherron never really caught on after going undrafted. He stuck for awhile with the then Charlotte Bobcats before being cut for repeatedly missing the team’s flights.
He last played in the NBA Developmental League in 2013-2014 season for the Texas Legends, and is currently trying to find/work his way back into the NBA, according to his Instagram page.
