Kansas City Royals all-time franchise leaders in triples: 5. Frank White

Frank White, probably the second greatest KC Royal ever, and for sure the best second baseman in franchise history, produced 58 triples in his career, all with the Royals. He did it the hard way, never once in his 18 seasons did he hit more than six.

White was never shut out in this category over the course of a season, but he only hit one triple six times, and just two in two other seasons.

White brought much more to the field than the ability to hit triples, most notably his glove work, highlighted by his eight Gold Gloves.

Because of his longevity, White appears toward the top of most of the Royals offensive categories, and that is what makes him such a beloved Kansas City Royal, and such an integral part of the team’s history.

Personally, I wish the team and White would make up from whatever has separated them over the past few years. White deserves a visible place with the organization.
