The Kansas City Chiefs lost their third straight game on Sunday evening and now have fallen to 7-6 on the season. Their playoff chances have dropped tremendously after they not only lost, but the Steelers and Ravens won to both improve to 8-5. Not to mention the Chargers still sit at 8-5.
Now I’m typically a good fan when it comes to my teams. I’ve rooted for the Chiefs and Royals since I was a kid (I’m 24 now) and always have stuck by them so it’s not easy for me to say this about one of my teams. I honestly don’t see the Kansas City Chiefs winning another game this season. I really, really don’t.
A few weeks ago when the Chiefs lost to the then winless Oakland Raiders, I said to let the Chiefs redeem themselves against the Broncos, which they didn’t. If anything, they looked worse in every area imaginable.

Betsided
The Chiefs had every opportunity to beat the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, but a crappy and questionable call gave Arizona the ball back before the Chiefs had a chance to score. Blame the referees all you want, but when it came down to it, Kansas City couldn’t pull through and tie the game.
Watching these Kansas City Chiefs play the past few weeks hasn’t been easy and that’s coming from a diehard fan. I just don’t see this team picking up the momentum and getting anything done to close out the season, especially to three AFC teams (two of whom are in the Wildcard hunt as well).
The 2014 season started off rough with an 0-2 start, but then the Chiefs started winning games and playing competitive football. They were able to blowout the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football and later pull out huge wins against the Buffalo Bills and Seattle Seahawks. Since then, this Kansas City Chiefs squad has not looked like a solid team and certainly haven’t looked like a playoff ready team.
If the Chiefs can fix their offensive line issues and run defense then they might be a better team, but both areas have been brutally exposed in the last three games and those will continue to be the areas attacked in their final three games of the season. It’s tough to win games when the offensive line can’t protect the quarterback and when the opposing running back runs for over 100 yards every week.
Next up come the Oakland Raiders, who just knocked off the San Francisco 49ers for their second win of the season. After that is a trip to Pittsburgh and then hosting the San Diego Chargers. It’s not going to be a fun few weeks, especially if the Chiefs continue to not play well.
