Sit ‘Em #1

Alfred Morris has played very well in fantasy terms over last three weeks after having a pretty bad start to the 2014 campaign. So why should owners even consider sitting him?

Morris and the Redskins have gone up against two other top rushing defenses this year (Seattle and Arizona) and he has put up just 2 and 5 points respectively against them.

He has a rough matchup with the San Francisco 49ers who, even with all their defensive injuries, rank 2nd in terms of fantasy points allowed to running backs.

Owners may think that he is a must-start no matter the matchup because of his draft position coming into this year’s fantasy season, but I would tell you that this matchup should warrant his benching this week in most situations and leagues.

I see Morris and the Redskins for that matter having a tough time against the 49ers and their stout run defense in Week 12.

I may be crazy, but I wouldn’t consider Morris any more than a flex play just for this week (thank me later).
