Sit ‘Em #2
Cam Newton is coming off of one of the worst performances in his young career against the Philadelphia Eagles. He threw three interceptions and had people saying that he looked and played injured.
Newton has since shrugged off critics and denied that he was playing injured. Carolina head coach Ron Rivera also reiterated his comments. This can only mean that Newton is in a bad rut right now.
In his last four games, he has thrown only three touchdowns and five interceptions, keeping him from breaking 14 points in standard leagues during these weeks.
In Week 11, Newton and the Panthers go up against the Atlanta Falcons, which would normally be a pretty good matchup for a quarterback, as their defense isn’t necessarily very strong. But this week, I would try and avoid Newton because of his pretty significant slump.
Try and find other options for this week from the wavier wire if you have to.
Consider him another low-end play until he proves himself a worthy starter again.
