Earlier this week, the Bills announced that rookie wide receiver, Sammy Watkins left practice with a groin injury which means that Kyle Orton could be limited on his options deep. Robert Woods is the second option at receiver but where they could hurt the Chiefs stingy defense is with Scott Chandler.
Why I say he should be a starter this week is because the Chiefs defense has allowed 7 touchdowns this season to opposing tight ends.
Chandler hauled in a 12 yard touchdown two weeks ago which ended up being his only catch of the day. Why I say he should be a starter this week is because the Chiefs defense has allowed 7 touchdowns this season to opposing tight ends.
Chandler has had big games the last two years against KC and if Watkins isn’t a go, Orton will likely be looking his way especially if they get into the redzone. Chandler has been very inconsistent and has only had one really good game which was week 6 against the Patriots when he caught for a career high, 105 yards.
He’s not an every week starter for you but if you have tight end on a bye week, pick up Chandler and give him the start this week.
