Sit ‘Em #2

Bryce Brown has been inactive for the Bills all season, but in Week 7, starting running backs Fred Jackson AND C.J. Spiller were injured. Spiller was lost until at least Week 16 and possibly the season while Jackson should be out 3-4 weeks.

Bills running backs really haven’t been much in fantasy football so far this year. Spiller has been awful and Jackson has been pretty average.

This leaves the running game up to Brown and Anthony Dixon, who has been active for the Bills. By most experts, Brown is considered as the “back to own” out of the two because of his past success and overall talent.

Brown had some flashes in the past for the Philadelphia Eagles, and should be able to out-run Anthony Dixon if given the chance.

All this being said, I wouldn’t take a chance on either back in Week 8.

First, we don’t know the carry split yet. Second, they play the Jets who have been very good against the run so far in 2014. And third, Bills running backs really haven’t been much in fantasy football so far this year. Spiller has been awful and Jackson has been pretty average.

I would pick him up if you still can, but stash him this week until we know a bit more about what the Bills are going to do with their run game.

Consider him a low-end option for Week 8.
