Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em: Week 5

Okay, I personally love Tom Brady and everything he has done for the NFL, but it may be time to retire him as an elite QB if you haven’t already. I was one of the few out there who thought Brady would have a solid comeback season and be a great value pick for people this year.
If Brady is your best fantasy QB, it is now time to look elsewhere.
He has disappointed. He has yet to break 13 points in standard (4-point passing TD) leagues, making him almost hard to own. Think about it, you take his stats and give them to a QB with a less popular name like Jake Locker, and he is probably on the waiver wire in most fantasy leagues.
This aside, he plays the Cincinnati Bengals this week. The Bengals defense ranks first against fantasy QBs in 2014. I don’t think anyone should trust Brady or any of his receivers for Week 5.
If Brady is your best fantasy QB, it is now time to look elsewhere. Look for buy-low QBs like Joe Flacco, Kirk Cousins/RGIII, or Eli Manning to plug into your lineup right away and for the rest of the season.
Consider Brady a good backup QB, and a good bye week/spot schedule play for the rest of the season.
